I hadn't recalled the antisurge part, never paid much attention to gas caps.

Actually, the other thing I was stuck on is that my gas cap is exposed.
I need to revise the cap so that it doesn't vent, and add a vent line to 
the filler.

The hose between the tank and filler neck is ok, the gas does come out 
the neck and around the cap.
There are streaks down the primer on the side to tell the story,
