The bottom line is... if it was my car and I truly wanted to keep thefactory originality,I would have done what every other collector does with a barn find vintageoriginal car.You get another set of wheels and new tires to move the vehicle around. Then to keep the"factory original" class for a proper Concours, the old aged tires aremounted with tubesin them, or injectable airless rubber, "if they are salvageable", and thenonly installedfor the event. This is how it's done at prestigious concours events. As I said, we should have the option to make exceptions. But I totallyunderstand the concourscommittee wanting to keep uniformity and prestige with the CORSA Concours, and not cheapenthe event. To say CORSA is crazy or has blundered is in my opinion a ridiculousopinion. There is this newinvention. It's called contacting the Concours committee and asking aboutclassification, "beforebringing a vehicle to the CORSA event! We have rules with Autocross also, to be followed!Corventure Dave=========================================================================================================================> Read the rule book and trailer the car - like everyone else in factory> stock> does.>> Later, JR>> ----- Original Message -----> From: "Bill Hubbell via VirtualVairs" > To: "Virtual Vairs" ; "CORSA/CPF BoD"> ; "Corsa Chapters" > Sent: Tuesday, June 23, 2015 4:30 PM> Subject: CORSA blunder>>>> I've never been more embarrassed by this club that by what just happened>> today.
