<VV> Corvair Lakewood in Minions Movie

My kids are traumatized. They haven't seen the minions movie yet, but 
they have required reading over the Summer that includes a book called 
The Outsiders that was published in 1967 and supposedly was popular back 
then (I don't remember it at all). The bad guys (rich kids) drove 
Corvairs and Mustangs. The hot cheerleader had a Corvette.

They said they didn't like the book because the Corvairs were associated 
with the bad guys. Making it hard to get them through it.

As to the minions movie, I see the resemblance, but it's far enough off 
that most people won't get it.

But hey, at least none of the bad guy cars in Cars or Cars2 were Corvairs...
