Hi mrmaxum,
Where is the oil leaking from? Is it from the differential to transmission
gasket that you replaced? There are other seals to check. I am assuming
that you have an EM differentioal unit. Were both surfaces clean when you
replaced the gasket? Also I must ask if you used the correct gasket since there
are certain holes there to allow gear lube to circulate between the diff
and trans.

Next would be the oil seal inside the differential snout (or shaft). You
may not have the correct seal in there since there are two different types
depending on the year. Also there are two seals (one per axle) where the
u-joints enter the differential. Leaks there should be very obvious.

Let us know just where the oil leak is.

When you replace a rear end in a early model (rampside) what seal needs to
be replaced. I just replaced mine and put the gasket between the 4 spd.
transmission and rearend but no seal it is poring oil now
