How long after repainting the purple fender, did the new paint peel off?

Did any Corvair ever come of the line with a Polaris emblem? 
That would be a cool find!

I remember around 1976 or so , my neighbor brought home a new brown Volare'
that he had custom ordered ,  it arrived with one purple front fender ,
delivered from the Factory that way.  The dealer had to repainted it to
match for him. 
He really hated that car.
