By "manual remote" do you mean that there was a knob on the inside of the
door which operated the mirror (by means of cables) - as opposed to
electronically? This is what a "REMOTE" mirror was in '65 - a knob to move
on the inside of the car in order to make the mirror move on the outside of
the car.
