<VV> Caveat and Question : Amazon as a source for parts

I just bought a starter drive gear from Amazon for $26 including 2 day
shipping (FedEx) and got the wrong part, of course.

Has anyone else tried to find this part?

 

I would have bought from Underground or Clark's but this was quick (ordered
on Friday afternoon, arriving Sunday morning!) and easy (they already have
my CC info, etc.)

 

So, this is also a caveat to those who might try to get one there, as well
as to see if anyone knows the correct "Victory Lap" part?

 

Also what does the extra groove on the starter shaft do? (See pix on Corvair
Forum, above)
