That's why he's the tech guy!
Civil Defense stations aka CONELRAD. 640 and 1240. The Conelrad symbol
was CD inside a triangle inside a circle. This was known as the CD
Mark. When the dial was small, all it needed to be law abiding was a
small triangle.
Most all radios produced in that time period had the markings, not just
car radios.
