Your email was sent as an attachment, so I could not read it earlier on 
another computer. This one seems to read attachments OK. But it is not 
in this reply for some reason.

The bulb, 1157, is a bayonet style, like 99% of automotive bulbs until 
they became wedge base in the 80s.

Push in lightly and turn CCW a quarter turn.

Oh, in case you are a late model Corvair guy, the lens comes off first. 
You do not pull the socket out. ggg
