<VV> How to "kill" the Ignition from the Engine Compartment

As a modification to Dale Smiley's suggestion of putting a switch in line
with the +12 to the ignition system, try one of the modern blade style
fuses instead. You can get the fuse holder as an in-line component at any
auto parts store and put a good sized fuse (10 amp? Higher?) in it. Just
yank the fuse out and you've killed the ignition.
To make it easier to pull, loop a piece of string around the fuse to give
it a "emergency pull" feature.
And you can use this to provide a small amount of additional security for
the car. Pull the fuse and drop it into your pocket and that will make it
harder to hot wire the car. (Just don't have a hole in your pocket!)
Unless someone notices the missing in-line fuse, there's no way to start
the car. (Of course it's simple to jumper, but a thief would have to do
some searching to find out why the engine wasn't starting, time that most
thieves don't have.)
