<VV> 140 Engine Ticking BAD

the engine started to make a VERY loud ticking noise (sounded like a 
sewing machine) that got louder as the rpm's went up and less loud at  idle.  No 
oil pressure or fan/gen light came on but the engine temperature did drop to the 
bottom of gage (Corsa dash).  When we got home  I did not see anything obvious 
looking at the top on engine, any suggestions as to what this might be?

Sure sounds like all the lifters went flat!   Check oil level and  SMELL  the dipstick!!


1  Is it over full?   2  Does it smell like Gasoline?


Ruptured lower fuelpump diaphragm.
