Smitty,  tell 'em to do it right.  It's like the saying we used to hear in the "canoe club":  There is always time to do it over, but never time to do it right the first time. 
Besides, this could also be used as a lead in to re-packing the rear wheel bearings, eh?  Tell 'em to not be afraid of it, it's not rocket science.
