Down here in Eastern North Carolina, these wrenches are  sometimes
known as 'thumb wrenches'.

Good source of low cost wrenches are local pawn shops.   Usually
a few bins full of odd tools.  Look for something you need in  a known
brand name, and usually the cost is minimal.
