I'll chime in on the Snap-on flare nut wrenches.  They are the only ones to use.  I've had the Snap-on work when the Craftsman just slips.  I have a set of Craftsman and have used Mac and Matco.
I lost my Snap-on and tried to use my Craftsman a few weeks ago.  I gave up and bought another Snap-on.
I do have a 1" open end wrench I us but wouldn't have any issue using an adjustable in this application.  It shouldn't be tight enough to matter.

After using my set of smaller Craftsman flare nut wrenches to no avail on a
really stubborn unit even with the addition of ViseGrips on it I broke down
and bought a set of pricey SnapOn flare nut wrenches. They do work better.
