The LM rear sockets have side contacts that become loose. You can spread them a bit as a first attempt. Also check that the spring loaded bottom button contacts are fully extended and not flattened. A sore spot.

I would use a DVOM and test the contact inside the light socket when someone hits the brakes. Make sure juice is getting there.
