Smitty Says;  I had no intension of belittling Ron's cam gear problem.  In 
fact anyone who drives their Vair cross country has my admiration.  I 
wouldn't wish the total hopeless and helpless feeling of having a deep 
internal engine failure on anyone, when so far in the boondocks that they 
don't have horizons out there.  I don't think everyone needs to cover their 
six by carrying a hundred pounds of tools and spares like I do, but it is 
just common sense to have a cell phone, a CORSA Locater, and a small tool 
kit when you hit the road.
What makes my jaw drop in amazement, not admiration, is when I am talking to 
someone at a show and note something like a loose fan belt.  I mention it to 
the owner and he says something like, I'll have my mechanic look into that 
when I get home.
