Smitty Says;  I feel like Bob G.  I can still do it but I just don't feel 
like it anymore.  Aching back and knees and wrists with loss of strength and 
stamina just takes the fun out of it.
I know that most of my Corvair failures have not been because of an 
unreliability issue , but because of the tremendous number of miles 
traveled.  I don't care what car it is, if you drive it far enough, 
something will fail.  You can Magnaflux the crank and the axles and put new 
bearings in your transmission and differential and the wiper motor will fall 
out on the ground.  That being said, I always came home in every Corvair I 
left home in.
