<VV> Washing cars with hard water; Any advice?

Where I live now the water is very hard (lime).  Any advice on washing the car with it, short of running a line outside from the water softener? 


Would that Mr. Clean AutoDry system help?  I don't think they make it any more but I bought one a few years ago when I didn't have hard water and thought it was a gimmicky waste of money.
