<VV> General oil question for Turbo owners only

Back when my '63 Spyder was running, ( I hit a deer in 2001 which totaled the car) I used Amsoil's 15W-40 heavy duty diesel and marine oil  (AME)  in it.  
I drove the car for well over 100,000 miles without a problem.  I even drove it to CA and back from PA back in 1994 without an issue.  It ran cool and smooth. 
I'd recommend sticking with the Amsoil.  If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
