Mark---Pedal flow is smooth through the range. If it was installed backwards, I doubt you’d be able to get it to go into gear when the engine isn’t running.

I don't know if this is the problem but those disks carry great loads but are flexible and so I am so wondering if it was installed backwards and flexes when the clutch is pressed so it does not disengage for shifting.
Second, does the pressure plate seem to engage and is clutch pedal throw seem normal and does it move through its full range smoothly?

I’d never use one of these things as I don’t race, and don’t find them necessary.
However, my friend Eric has a car in his shop right now and he’s having a fit of a time getting the thing to work.
All you racers and transaxle gurus please note the following.
Car will not go into gear when running. No 1st, no 2nd----3rd and 4th you can get the stick to move but it’s not easy---no reverse.
Turn Car off. Put Car in gear, start car, will go into gear.
No transmission fork problems.
End adjustment on cable at transmission cross-shaft----book says 3/4-1”. Adjust all through the range, makes no difference. at 1/2” it will grind a little when trying to put in gear.
Is it possible that the Ceramic clutch disk is not moving on the input shaft? The T/O bearing is pushing against the fingers on the PP, but disk isn’t moving?
A call to Cal Clark was answered by Cal with “I’ve never installed one of these in my cars”.
None of this makes sense. Please discuss---
Eric believes the last time he put a ceramic disk in (15 years ago or so) he had to file the flanges in the disk to get the thing to work.
