Bob, I would estimate between 4500-5000 rpm at approximately 10psi after short 5 to 8 second run in 4th. Thanks,Jim

Hi Jim,
Thanks for the reply. I was more wondering if MAYBE, somehow
the possibility of insufficient harmonic dampening MIGHT have some relation to
your pistons cracking. #5 piston is down there near where most crank failures
occur. Just a long shot.
While I'm wondering, at what engine speed did these failures
occur?

As for the damper, I purchased a rebuilt unit from one of the popular
vendors at the time in '07. I don't remember which. When I degree'd the cam I
found the timing mark off by 1/2 degree and made a new mark. I will check
tonight to see if it has slipped.
