Being an Austin Healey BN-4 owner as well, I'm thrilled with the
articles...many thanks.
And yes, I've had turbos with SU's on them.

I had one of these on mine ages ago. I basically used a Jag 2 inch SU,
largely as is. Had to make a plate, of course, and a manual 'choke', which,
of course no LM came from the factory that way.

Needles and jets for the Jag are here:

There's even software to set these up! See:

Subject: <VV> S U Carb to replace YH
Hi
I am looking for any tech articles or direction that should help me learn
the best way to set up a 2" S. U. Carb to replace the stock YH carb on my
150 hp turbo. The SU looks to be complete, other than missing the needle
out of the center slide. I'm looking for which slide needle should be a
good size to start tuning the carb in with. I don't mind doing the
research, except I am not finding any written information so far in my
search.
Thanks, Nick
