<VV> The Corvair Monza Hardtop Coupe that Chevy Should Have Built?

When I say "IRS" I meant articulated, non-swing axle type, if that's more
technically accurate (though somehow wrong too?)

Ironically, Chevy called the swing-axle design "quadralink" which is more
appropriate for the LMs design?

I don't recall the year of the car, just that it was EM, and had LM mods,
which were a LOT of nearly undetectable work!!!

A couple of observations:

1. The early Corvairs (at least 1960-'63 models) DID have independent rear
suspension (IRS). Yes, the swing-axles were perhaps not as sophisticated
and fool-proof as the set-up on the late model Corvairs but they did
constitute an independent rear suspension. Arguably, the transverse leaf
spring on the '64s rendered them technically not independent rear
suspension.

2. I believe the modified, customized early hardtop with the late model
multi-link rear suspension was based upon a '63 model, not a '64.
