<VV> 'Vale' - Dollie Cole

Hi everyone from down under in Australia,
I turned on my computer early this morning (Thursday August 28 Australian time) to read, over breakfast, the very sad news that Dollie Cole has died. I recall first meeting Dollie at 2010 CORSA Convention which that year was held in Cedar Rapids.
At the end of that 2010 CORSA convention, my wife Arlette and I had a completely unexpected hour long meeting with Dollie in the departure lounge of the Cedar Rapids Airport while we waited to board our respective flights out of Cedar Rapids. Dollie was impressed and perhaps a little surprised to hear that she and her late husband Ed Cole were so well known within classic car circles in Australia. 
My memory of that brief but memorable hour with Dollie, in that Cedar Rapids Airport Departure Lounge, will be long remembered and I feel privileged to have had that opportunity.
I would agree totally with the comment that Dollie was "an interesting, wonderful, and gracious lady". Like many of us I will think of Dollie and her husband Ed each time I look at our Corvair and indeed the 283 small V8 engine in my '62 RHD Impala Sport Sedan.
