It is the dust cover (or whatever you call it) that goes on the axle shaft after the axle bearing.

OK gents, I just completed a full restoration of the belly, fuel tank and
associated parts, full suspension and steering on my 62 coupe, and I found
this part in the old parts bin.
I did not replace it, and have no idea where it belonged. It is 1
1/4"outside dia and 3/4" inside dia.
I cannot find a picture anywhere in Clarks catalogs, so need your brain
power. I buffed it a bit but it had the typical 52 years of road grime on
it.
What is it?
