You might also want to investigate Time-Serts...a much better system than
Heli-Coil. I keep the 3/8-16, 5/16-18, and 1/4-20 kits handy at all times.
They can be ordered in various lengths, and materials, ie. stainless.
Good luck...a well thought out repair will be rewarding to you and the next
owner down the line.

You will have to install some helicoils, which requires drilling and
tapping oversize then install the helicoil to restore to original size.
