Charlie, when you get ready to put this stuff together just remenber that you don't want to use the longer flywheel bolts, if you should have them from the 140 engine, with your thinner flex. Short bolts for flex plate, long bolts for flywheels. Using the longer bolts with a flex plate can result in the bolts hitting the cam gear. Jim

Right - the car has a non-functioning 110 w/ PG and (for now) I want to put
the 140 in with the PG, just to get behind the wheel of a Corvair after way
too long, hopefully.
So 2 issues (so far) :
1 a) 140 has dual exhaust, but it's not required (just to get it running?)
1 b) I seem to recall (as you pointed out) that the exhaust ports are bigger
on a 140's manifolds, so the 110 single setup won't fit, right?
2) Need to change bell housing (got one)
3) Need to change out pilot bushing (thanks Matt)
4) Is oil pan different? I have both so I can compare when the sun comes
back up...
Thanks!
Charlie

I'm confused - you want to put a 140 into a PG car or a 4 spd manual car?
Yep, the bell housings are different. The exhaust is different between a
110 and a 140. The 140s are different between manual and PG trans. 4
degree crank retard on PG 140.
So, please help us understand your intentions better.
Thanks
Later, JR
