Last Summer, Chevy had a big display at the Laguna Seca race, with Team
Corvette and others there. The had a banquet hosted by the Corvette Museum
folks. The guest speaker was Tadge Juechter, the Corvette engineering chief
for GM. After giving the pep-talk about the new C7, with slides, he was brave
enough to take questions from the audience - of about 150 Corvette fans.
His one caveat was - He could not talk about future Production plans. GM
would get really mad if he did. But he answered all kinds of questions. After
the dinner, on his way out, I cornered him, and his lovely wife, and got a
snapshot with my "good buddy" (his wife took the photo). I asked him if the
new C7 Corvette still used the same 5-bolt wheel pattern that my C6 uses (
I have at least 5 sets of tires, race and otherwise, for my 2005, and I
was thinking - - ) He said yes it does, and that the C7 Corvette was now the
only GM car, worldwide, that uses that bolt pattern. That is the same
pattern that all Corvettes have used since 1953. - And the same bolt pattern
that the 1965-69 Corvair and all FC Corvairs. So - Matt, Bryan and Chuck were
correct, the Corvette.

That is me on the left, Tadge on the right! - Seth
