<VV> 64 coupe runs down the battery...

One thing you need to check since it is an early model is to make sure the 
heater hose is not making contact with the starter as that will drain the 
battery.  They make a foam sleeve that fits over the hose to solve that 
problem.

If it takes a while for it to run down, check the glove box light . I had
that happen once.
