PS - Yes, it was a small block, not a big block. Since I have been - off  
and on - a customer of Goodies since about 1965, I remember both FUBAR2 (Try

and  get that plate through the DMV today!) and the Corvair shop vans. I 
remember  hearing rumors of the early car being in someone's backyard in the

San Jose  area, but that was at least 10 years ago. The article kind of 
glosses over some  of the other "Speed Shop" history in the San Jose/South
Bay 
area. But there  were dozens of shops at various times. They mentioned Speed

Merchant, also a  SuperShops, Santa Clara Speed Center, Vic Hubbard's (still

around) and lots of  others. I am pretty sure I visited all of them at one 
time or another.
