<VV> alternate fans

If there are fans that could survive the lower shroud environment, would this system be an improvement over using the top electric fan only? GMoore

They would probably fail, melting, due to the heat coming off the exhaust manifolds.

The articles stated that fans could not overcome the back pressure, the force of the fan reflected off the engine surface and back up. My question would small fans (3 to 4 inch computer type fans) fitted in rectangular frames added inside the bottom shrouds near the shroud's exhaust doors (aimed out), create a vacuum and aid drawing more air from the top fan through/around the engine.
