Actually, the wheel covers are indeed Taiwanese fake Moons (brushed
aluminum) so there's no detail to obscure. I'm quite proud of them!
Takes me back to the '50s when the rich kids in my town had the real
thing on their '49 fords. I couldn't afford a bicycle, let alone a car.
A few of you might be old enough to remember that in the mid-50s, you
could find used cars for sale in the want ads for as little as $15. I
never had $15 at any one time.
Incidentally, I have a set of the original '63 wheel covers, in decent
shape. I just like the replica Moons better.
