The question might be, what was on '50 Imperials and 1951 Crosleys <grin>



okay, the Imperials ran those Lambert discs for five years (49-54) and 
some/all? were four wheel disc -- Crosley went to drums in 51, but they 
were still mechanical in 48, before they tried the discs. Does anyone 
know if the big Chryslers had a drum option instead of the Lamberts?

By the mid-sixties, numerous manufacturers had disc brakes on two and/or 
four wheels -- Studebaker, Rambler, Vettes, Mustangs/Cougars ...
