Last weekend we drove out 66 Monza with a 110/PG and AC to the TriState Corvair
eet in Cripple Creek, CO (had a great time!!) The route we took was via US
ighways through some very rural parts of western Kansas and Eastern Colorado.
his route takes us through many small towns with reduced speed limits. One such
own was Granada, CO which has a speed limit of 35 MPH though town. I slowed
own but can say for sure that I was actually doing 35 or less as I was soaking
n the ambiance of the town (we hadn't seen much of anything for quite some
ime). And that's what I told the officer when he pulled us over. He said, "the
adar show you doing 45 in the 35 zone, but it didn't look like you were going
hat fast." He only wrote me a warning, so I was initially very grateful.
owever after thinking about what he said, I felt that he had insulted our
ittle Corvair.
Ned
