<VV> LM Door Glass Removal

I'm preparing my car for media blasting body restoration work, so the glass has to come out of the car.  I have the CORVAIR 1965-1969 BODY SERVICE MANUAL (Clark's PN C3718) which provides instructions for the "Front Door Window Assembly" removal.  Is this the best procedure to follow in order to remove the door glass? 

  

Comments and guidance from anyone who has actually performed door glass removal would be greatly appreciated.
