I was getting concerned that the conversation was generating conflicting
information that might lead the OP down the wrong path and wanted to make an
unequivocal statement.
No offence was intended, I just wanted to make sure the facts were clear as
to what application would actually work on the Corvair FC.

Joel--I never said you were wrong. All I said was confirming Bob's
statement that Chevy made Style Code 1000 and 1200 cars until 1964.
I don't know the dimensions of the spindles, and really don't care.

I'm sorry, but Bob is wrong, or rather the original source material is
wrong. Bob brought up the 58-64 stuff when I started investigating this
before I did my install.
The Tri5 spindles are approx. 9" top to bottom if my memory serves, the
58-64 are 11" and will definitely not work on the FC.
I know I'm right, I HAVE THIS SETUP WORKING ON MY RAMPSIDE.
