<VV> Dissappearing exhaust packings

A couple of years ago, I bought a set of aluminum packings for the 140 from
John Sweet.  I carefully cleaned the exhaust tubes as well as the manifolds.
I installed them using copper (I believe) RTV.  I found that after the
engine had run a few hours, I needed to tighten the exhaust flange nuts
about an additional 1/2 turn or so.  Since then, they have been fine.  I use
my heater regularly and have checked the cabin air with a CO monitor and it
comes up clean.  I think they are a pretty good way to go.
