sigh ... Because you want the retard position for cranking ...

 Sorry Charlie....gggg     No real vacuum signal  thru the hose at cranking rpm.....  even on fast idle / Chokes closed....


I've measured it!  Remember engine only cranks at approx. 200 rpm.... Digital tachsare great for watching this!
