<VV> 13 inch TIRES central NY area

I found 12 175R70 Michelin X -DT , BEST tires in 13 inch that  have been 
seen around here in ages. I ran it by our tire distrib who was at our  old 
business last night , and told him not to go buy them until I got my 4 !. He  
talked of going to get the leftovers  from BJ's here in clay. last 185 R 13  
I bought were "ok" , but not top line tires.  Top line Michelin or BFG  
tires in 14 inch sizes were @ $100 each.
I hope to drive this car a lot soon. It is a "saved from crusher" so will  
never be a show car. I just want it safe and trustworthy.
Thanks to all who took time to reply with good info.
I can stand the car being 1.33 inches lower , and will re calibrate the  
speedo or run a GPS.
