Joe,

He was just ticked off because his parents wouldn't let him use the "good" car with the radio when he went on dates.  I had to drive my Mom's '61 700 with no radio so I can sympathize--teenagers.  But I did appreciate the handling and braking and it was PG so no manual shifter to get in the way--wait, THAT'S what he was ticked off about.
