<VV> Gas tanks

Several comments have been made that new cars don't have vented gas tanks.
WRONG!  All gas tanks are vented thru the cap or you wouldn't be able to
suck or pump fuel to the engine.  The only difference is newer cars have a
check valve in the cap to allow air in but not gas vapors out.  So all the
time you are driving there is air (and moisture) going in the tank.
