There is nothing new under the sun.  Many years, ago, when the 
Chicagoland Corvair Enthusiasts were blowing up vacuum cleaners as a 
regular practice, I shipped a well-used "Power Glide" canister vac 
(manufacturer unknown) to Larry Claypool.  Some time later I received a 
box from Larry containing its charred remains!
