<VV> FC 4 carb aircleaner ideas?

I was looking at K&N's list. It looked like there are some filters that should fit. But it would be close and you'd have to grind the lugs off the tops of the carbs. Then there's the high cost of these filters too. Something like $36 each.

The issue, BTW, with the stock filters is that the air doesn't like the sharp turn at the carb inlet. You can see some solutions to that problem for the cars on that page as well.
