<VV> '63 Spyder Convertible on eBay

Barnum said it best.

I worked on a 63 convertible (it wasn't a Spyder) that needed engine and
transmission work. The electrical system was a botch job. It had been
cosmetically repaired but that was all. The owner had paid 10 grand for it.
What was worst of all is that it was about to assume the V configuration
(which is common to so many convertibles left to rust) and the owner could
find on one who would do the necessary welding. No transmission shop would
touch the gear box. It was too far gone. There were many other things wrong
with it too numerous to mention. The car wasn't worth $50.00. He simply
did not know what to look for.

For $29000 the car HAD BETTER be in MINT condition. For that amount of
money one could buy a brand new car.

What do they say about...

money burning a hole in a pocket

or

a fool and his money

You get the drift.

Well I must say it is a well documented restoration with what appears to be
the best of anything. And a very desireable piece.
I am surprised they listed it with all the mud on it though?

In any event, now anyone with an early Corvair be it a 4-door or a base
model will think it is also worth that much. Every time a vair sells for
big
money everyone thinks theirs are made of gold.
