Photo 7-1 leaves out the spring on the fork. The discussion usually is 
about where the spring fingers go.

For years, and on other GM products also, I captured the throw out 
bearing flange between the fork and the spring. Many years later I hear 
the fork and spring fingers should reside in the groove of the bearing 
(between the flange and the rotating bearing).

Fig. 7-4 almost shows the spring in the groove. Very poor photo.

At least our shop manuals are not wrong, like my 98 Buick manual, that 
incorrectly shows how to replace rear pads! The pictures and prose are 
just like the front pads. NOT!
