<VV> Test Your Corvair on Oval Track in Eastern PA

Brian O'Neill, John Egerton, and Dan Schmidt intend to rent an asphalt oval racetrack to prep their Corvairs for the Corvair Olympics. 

The track is Mountain Speedway in St. Johns, Pennsylvania, located near Wilkes-Barre. The date has not yet been set, but it is likely to be in mid-May. It would be a four-hour session. Very informal. No timing or tech inspection. The price will be very reasonable.   If you are interested in participating in this joining them, then send an email to Brian at bmoneill at juno.com

"I would like to test my track car before we go to the Olympics. There is a 1/3 mile oval in St Johns, PA that rents for testing. It is just of I80 between the Pocono exit and I81. Obviously not a road course but it would give a chance to go through the gears and make sure the engine is good. I have been there years ago with Bob Marlow who was announcing a race. I have not yet contacted the track but wanted to see if there is any interest. Bob tells me that when he last talked to the track management the rental was about $500 a day. They start oval track racing in April on Saturday night so we would have to go on a week day. Is there any interest?"   (If so, email Brian at bmoneill at juno.com  )
