Thanks for the "testimonial" Guy. I'm happy that you're so pleased. I know
the feeling of finding that final piece that makes the whole contraption
work... the funny thing is, I don't even HAVE a 64-66 two wire remote mirror.
I just thought it would be a cool project to make the replacement piece,
but then I found out why they seemed to break in only two spots, so ALL
those areas are "beefed up". Modern technology is awesome, ain't it?
;-)
So, my 10 + months of measuring and testing in my spare time will start to
pay off, especially if everyone is as happy as Guy!
This first batch is going quickly, so if you want yours, let me know soon.
I'm also working on the radio trim plate for the EM radio pods, so you can
mount a modern radio in it. As soon as I get mine painted up, and trimmed
out (the hole is actually smaller than the radio, so if you want to mount
your radio offset on the pod, like I intend to do), I'll post a photo.
Mirror thingies are $50/set, + $6 shipping... the shipping price is the
same for one or twenty... I don't know how long this price will stay at this
rate, since I've seen the materials invoice for the "stuff" and it has gone
up 9% in the last 5 months. The stuff is almost like pricing gasoline!
The radio faceplates will be $40 + $6 shipping.
Drop me a note if you have any questions. I will accept Postal Money
Orders ONLY, (NO PAYPAL) or, IF I know you or we've done business before, I'll
accept your personal check. I've been on Virtual Vairs for quite a while, I
think 1994 or '95, so I "know" quite a few of you guys and gals... so check
with me first.
Thanks again Guy for the kind words.
Here's a link that the Illustrious Potentate Deck Rug fixed up for me on

Hi all,
After years of searching for the plastic parts for the inside of my 65
remote mirror I now have a working mirror! Awhile back I tried again on VV to
locate a set with virtually no help but Lon Anderson said he would attempt
making them with a parts printer if I could supply a set of the original
parts, enter Dom Perino (Mr NOS) who offered to lend me a set to let Lon
use. As you may know those plastic thingys were weak and fragile and took
very little binding to snap them off. Bids on e--bay were in the $2000.00
range for remote mirrors for 64 thru 66 and I had everything but those two
plastic pieces but now I have a working set made stronger than the original
and of a more durable material. If you have a remote mirror that is or is
not working I might suggest that you contact Lon to get a replacement set for
the originals and replace them and if your originals are in working
condition put them in a box for the future and pop in these more durable pieces
or just buy a set
and go out and taunt those Corvette guys.
Regards,
Guy Brandes
