<VV> starts and dies

Ok, we got a late model that has been starting and running fine. Today it turns over, fires and runs until you let off on the key. It has great spark and is getting gas. Have not tested the coil input with key on yet.  Anything come to mind? any thoughts? I'm sure I will figure it out in the morning but too tired to think on it tonight. Any input might be helpful
