Resistance wire is for the COIL!!   so it depend on the primary resistance of it!


When you say Electronic Ignition....  Which one?? there are a dozen...


If you are   installing a Pertronix I  or II   POINTS Replacement  module  and keeping your original coil,


Then just connect the Red wire to a full 12 volt circuit.  Easiest is in the main harness connector.
