Charlie: I was sadden to hear this.
I had tryed to get some CORSA member(s) who knew Art to interview him, but they weren't man enough to do it. An opportunity lost.
Do you have any clue what has or will become of his engreering drawings and files/records? I would be a shame for them to end up in a dumpster.
Ask your brother maybe.
Historically Yours,
James

My brother informed me today of the passing of Art Silva. He was, as am I, ?a
member of Bayshore Corvair Association. Art was probably best known as being on
the cover of "Hot Rod" magazine in the late 60's holding an aluminum block of a
215 Olds engine that he had put in the rear of his Corvair. Art was a member of
the S.A.E. and a wealth of knowledge regarding the Corvair. He suffered a heart
attack, I have no information on arrangements, but my brother, Bill may have
further info. You can contact him at bjdoe1 at verizon.net. My condolences to his
family and friends. He will be?missed.....??? Charlie
